About
From Editor-in-Chief of The Australian Women's Weekly and New Idea to Managing Director of Hearst Australia, and now founder and CEO of the Women Love Network™, I've spent more than four decades leading some of Australia's most influential media brands and building new ones from the ground up.
At the Weekly and New Idea, I was named Editor of the Year in 2007. The Weekly won the inaugural Australian Magazine Award for Best Mass-Market Magazine in 2008, and New Idea was named MPA Magazine of the Year. As Group Publisher of Women's Titles at ACP Magazines and Bauer, I oversaw Woman's Day, Harper's BAZAAR, Cosmopolitan and Grazia. I went on to become Managing Director of Hearst Australia.
Seeing early that the future of media would reach well beyond print, I founded both Foyster Media and Foyster Consulting, which, since launching in 2011, have grown to include Game Changers, Women Love Tech, The Carousel, Women Love Travel and Women Love Wellness. In 2026 I was named on the B&T Women Leading Tech Power List, and Women Love Tech won the 2025 Samsung IT Award for Best Corporate Content. Through my tech venture, AR Tech, I developed an augmented-reality app for Vivid Sydney 2019. I've also spoken three times at SXSW Sydney and headlined Intel's AI Summit.
In 2016 I launched Game Changers, a video podcast of in-depth conversations with leaders, from the head of NASA and an Oxford University provost to others across business, technology and culture. Now marking its tenth year, it has featured interviews presented by some of Australia's best-known broadcasters, including Tracey Spicer, Sarah Harris and Edwina Bartholomew. Through InProfile, my thought leadership business, I help leaders shape and share their ideas.
Television has run alongside it all. As lifestyle editor on Seven's Sunrise, I brought Ita Buttrose and other luminaries on board. Ita later returned the favour by inviting me to co-host Network 10's Studio 10. My TV work started in London breakfast television. Today I'm building Women TV Network, a video channel spanning beauty, health, wellness and technology, where I'm also developing original shows.
It all began with a copygirl job at News Limited and a reporting beat at the racetrack, where I was Australia's first female racing reporter. As a cadet with AAP Reuters, I covered the 1988 Bicentenary. I then headed to London, where a visit to News International landed me a job at Today. At 23, I was a feature writer and consumer correspondent on Today, with my own weekly column. I went on to write a column from Los Angeles and became the West Coast reporter for Channel 4's The Big Breakfast.
Beyond media, I have consulted to Airbus and to Pymble Ladies' College's STEM Academy. I'm committed to getting more girls and women into technology, and into the rooms where its future is decided. I'm also writing a memoir about the changing face of media and sharing some of its stories on Substack.
I remain as curious about what comes next as I was when I was a young country girl who loved horses and dreamt of being a journalist.
